Amazon has today launched Amazon Screenwriter, a free clod-based screenwriting tool to help writers to write movie or TV screenplays in a standard format. Along with that, Amazon Studios has also started accepting drama screenplay submissions on its amazonstudios.com website.
We tried Amazon Screenwriter and found it amazing. One of the best thing about this Screenwriting tool is that it automatically formats as you type. So, whether you are typing the heading, scene or about Character, it can automatically format that for you. Amazon Screenwriter allows users to import or export PDF, FDX and Fountain file formats. Which means, either you can create a new screenplay or just import the old one and continue writing it.
If you are writing on a working Internet connection, the Screenwriter tool will automatically save it in the cloud. But if you want to use it offline, then you should get a Chrome app for Mac or PC.
“Amazon is thrilled to support the evolution of our creative community by offering advanced tools like Amazon Storywriter to assist both established and aspiring writers in telling their stories,” Amazon Studios VP Roy Price said.
To use Amazon Storywriter all you need is an Amazon account. Just login and you are good to go.
