Goal Gappay is also know as Pani Puri, it is eatable in some parts of Asia in which countries include Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, it is more famous in Lucknow, India. It is a spicy street food and not expensive too.

Ingredients :

For Goal Gappay ;

  • Semolina 1 cup
  • Plain flour (maida) 1 cup
  • Warm water
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • 1/2 tbsp salt

Khajoor Ki Chuttney :

  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Dates 100 grams
  • Tamarind pulp ( imli ka ras ) 1 cup
  • Water 2 cup
  • Salt 1 pinch

For Filling;

  • Whole gram 1 cup boiled
  • Potatoes 3 boiled

Sour Water:

  • Black salt 1 tbsp
  • Tamarind peeled (imli ka ras) 2 cups
  • Water 3 cups
  • Sugar 2 tbsp
  • Black pepper 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli 1 tsp
  • Cumin seed 1 tbsp
  • Dry ginger roasted 1 tsp

Method :

  • For goal gappay : mix all materials and kneed then make a  dough.put a side for 3 hours.
  • Make balls by applying oil , roll with pin roller and make cuts by glass or cap of any bottle.
  • Heat oil and deep fry these puriyan from both sides.
  • For khajoor ki chuttney: put all ingredients and grind them.
  • For sour water: mix all ingredients and in a pan cook for 3 to 4 boils and dish out.
  • Cut the puries from the center and fill with potatoes and chuttney.
  • Serve with green or red chuttney.
