Ingredients:

Prawns – 1/4 kg
Onion – 1 cup
Tomato chopped – 3/4 cup
Ginger – 1 inch
Garlic cloves – 7
Turmeric powder – 3/4 tsp
Red Chilly Powder – 1 1/2 tsp
Aniseed – 3/4 tsp
Curry Leaves – few
Oil – 3 tsp
Salt – as required

Method:

  1. Clean the prawns. Grind the ginger, garlic and aniseed to a fine paste.
  2. In a heavy bottom Kadai, add oil and heat it.
  3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for a minute.
  4. Add tomato, onion, chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Fry this for 4 minutes.
  5. Add the prawns and cook till the prawns become tender.
  6. Then add curry leaves and fry it well.
