Gets to know the fitness mantras of the ever glamorous, ever sexy Shilpa Shetty.
“IF I CAN PROMOTE HEATH AWARENESS THERE CANNOT BE A GREATER CHARITY. THIS IS MY WAY OF DOING GOOD KARMA. I FEEL GRATIFIED WHEN PEOPLE BENEFIT FROM MY YOGA DVDS OR FOLLOW THE HEALTHY RECIPES GIVEN IN MY BOOK THE GREAT INDIAN DIET”
Shilpa strongly believes that prevention is better than cure. “If I can promote heath awareness there cannot be a greater charity. This is my way of doing good karma. I feel gratified when people benefit from my yoga DVDs or follow the healthy recipes given in my book,”. Her aim is to help women gain these insights because it’s they who determine what the family eats. “Like right values, we must also inculcate the right eating habits in our children. Let them stay away from burgers and aerated drinks,” she cautions. “After a woman touches 35, she needs B12, Omega 3, iron and vitamin D supplements.
If your energy is low, get D3 and B12 tests done,” . She also points out that certain lifestyle changes are important for a healthy body. “Don’t eat after 8 pm. Zip up your mouth. If you feel hungry, you can have cucumber with almond butter,” she suggests. “Don’t strain your stomach at night. Let it rest too.”
