Toyota Innova Crysta waiting period comes down to 2 months; petrol variant to be launched this month

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) launched the latest version of Innova MPV, the Innova Crysta, in May. The Crysta has received a positive response with average monthly sales over 7,000 units and waiting period soared up to three months within a short span of time. Currently, the waiting period for the MPV stands at two months, according to a company statement.

“The Innova Crysta continues to grow and we would like to thank our customers for placing their faith in the brand and the product. Launched in May 2016, the Innova Crysta still has a waiting period of up to 2 months,” said N. Raja, Director and Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing at TKM.

Riding on Innova Crysta, TKM registered 3 percent growth in July sales over the same period last month. The auto company has received over 30,000 bookings for the MPV so far. According to reports, nearly half of the bookings done so far are for the automatic variant of Innova Crysta, which is priced over Rs. 20 lakh. Toyota sold 8,171 units of the Crysta in June, highest ever for the MPV. Variant wise sales list of Toyota models for July is yet to be released.

Priced from Rs. 13.83 lakh onwards (ex-showroom, Mumbai), Innova Crysta is available in two diesel engine options — 2.4-litre and 2.8-litre engines. The 2,393cc diesel engine develops 148bhp of power and 243Nm of torque mated to five-speed manual gearbox, while the 2,755cc mill churns out 172bhp and 360Nm of torque and is coupled to six-speed automatic gearbox.
