It usually happens with me whenever I try to install new app, my phone always give me insufficient space memory message and it really frustrates me. And I try deleting some file in order to get the sufficient space for the same. But freeing up space is not easy as it seems.
Before deleting anything from phone, you need to make sure the files that are about to delete are no longer needed.We are providing you some easy ways to clean space for your iPhone so that you can fill it with other necessary apps and files. Let’s have a look.
1. Delete apps that you don’t need
Many of times, we keep on downloading multiple apps of same type in order to get the app to fulfill all needs. But unfortunately forget to delete unwanted apps or apps that we don’t use frequently. This is the best way to get started.
Deleting an app will give you around 500MB free space with little effort. Click on the app icon and tap on X from the left corner. If apps are pre-installed then it would not be easy to delete.
2. Delete games you have completed
If you have reached to end of any game and you don’t like playing game again and again then it is better to delete that so that you could install another game with unseen and inexperienced game levels. Game takes a lot of memory space and this is one of the best ways to reclaim iPhone storage.
3. Delete videos
While going out I love to watch HD movies and video songs in my iPhone so that I can enjoy my ride while travelling but most of the times I forget to delete those videos. HD videos and movies can take up to 3.5GB of space and deleting them will give you a lot of free space. To delete any video, go to Video app, you will little x sign on the corner, click on that to delete video you want to.
4. Delete eBooks
If you are found of keeping eBooks, magazines in your iPhone then delete them if you are done with them many of fancy graphics and videos embedded takes a lot of space.
5. Save HDR photos only
We all know photos take a lot of space in iDevice so it is better to delete older photos but no one want to delete old photo as we all want to keep them in memories. Many time storage gets taken up twice because large size of photos. If you use iPhone’s HDR mode or Instagram a lot, you might have noticed that it automatically saves two photos.
6. Clean Your browser cache
Your iPhone may be storing your browser history and other data that they might not need. So, clean your browser cache, Go to Setting then respective Browser and then clear History and Website Data.
7. Delete Voicemail messages
Apple’s visual voicemail can quickly take up all your iPhone’s memory and if you have ever received any voicemail delete them. Go to visual voicemail and tap on Voicemail button.
8. Music from Cloud
If you don’t want to full space with number of songs then iTunes Match offers you the perfect ground to access music on the o with Internet connection.
9. Use playlists when syncing music
Well, it is pretty easy to create playlist with iOS and OS X but you can also use this function to sync with your favorite tracks and albums. Instead of whole library get your favorite tracks and this smart playlist will choose songs that have played above a certain limit.
10. Stop storing Texts forever
iPhone stores text messages that you send and receive forever or as per your convenience. To stop storing messages forever, open Setting–> Messages and then change it to Forever to 30 days or time that you want.
