Nokia 7.2 with triple cameras set to launch in India soon

The phone was unveiled alongside Nokia 6.2 at the IFA trade show in Berlin. It is now ready to hit the Indian market really soon.

After its debut at the IFA 2019, the Android One powered Nokia 7.2 smartphone is all set to hit the Indian shores. The phone was originally unveiled alongside Nokia 6.2 at the IFA trade show. It was one of the big announcements of HMD Global at the 2019 event. The phone has now been teased by the company on Twitter. In the video, the company appears to be boasting its night camera capabilities.

The teaser although does not reveal the name of the device, the rear panel featuring triple cameras in a circular cutout clearly suggests the arrival of Nokia 7.2 smartphone in the country.  The mid-range device brings an edge-to-edge waterdrop display on the front and curved glass back panel with a circular camera module. It was launched in as many as three colours at EUR 249 (which is roughly Rs 19,700 in Indian currency). It’s India price will most likely also fall in the same line.

The Nokia 7.2 sports a 6.3-inch Full HD+ PureDisplay with 500 nits brightness. It features a PureDisplay technology and HDR10 support with an ability to upscale video content from SDR to HDR in real-time.  It comes powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For software, it ships with Android 9 Pie and is Android 10-ready.

The phone packs 3500mAh battery capacity with 10W fast charging support. It has a circular camera module which takes inspiration from the Nokia Lumia devices of the past. This camera array brings with it an LED flash, a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it gets a 20-megapixel selfie camera. Additionally, it has a fingerprint scanner at the back with Nokia branding positioned just below it.
